Title : Trans operative radiology of patellar fracture surgery. Optimizing results and avoiding complications

Abstract

We have seen an increase of patellar fractures . This is one of the skeletal segments with worst reported results after open reduction and internal fixation. The trend in this kind of fractures goes towards a rigid fixation with new angular stable plates without discarding the classic constructions. This talk focuses in the trans operative radiological evaluation of the patient so the chosen construct reaches top results and avoids complications such as symptomatic hardware and loss of reduction.
